R 300.00

Small size ceramic sake cup with chestnut wood ash glaze by Takayuki Yagi. It is available as a single item or in combination with similar cups, each made by hand and uniquely shaped and glazed.

Dimensions: 50-70mm (H) x 40-50mm (Diameter)

Since each cup is shaped by hand, they are not completely identical in shape and size.

Takayuki Yagi is the 2nd generation ceramicist at ISSEITOUEN in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture - one of the 'Six Big Kiln' cities of Japan. He studied ceramics in the United Kingdom before returning to Japan and wood fires his tableware and teapots three time a year in an outside kiln.
