Small mid-century white porcelain (hakuji) demitasse cups for espresso. Designed by La Gardo Tackett and manufactured in Japan in 1959. Set of four mini cups, saucers and creamers.

Los Angeles based designer La Gardo Tackett (1911-1992) spent 16 months in Japan in the late 1950s. During that time he designed the "Forma" line of white porcelain dinnerware for Schmid International, which was aimed at the European export market. Made in Japan, this set of four cups and creamers was manufactured in 1959 and showcases Tackett's minimal style. It was sourced from Oedo Antique Market in Tokyo.
