Asahipen advises washing the frame and letting it dry fully before papering, and where the staining is bad, using a paste with a lye blocker such as this one. It also contains an anti-mould agent and no formalin, and goes on straight from the pack through its guide nozzle, without a brush.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is for paper. It cannot be used for plastic shoji sheet fixed with double-sided tape, or for iron-on or self-adhesive \u003cem\u003efusuma\u003c\/em\u003e paper, and may not hold on some plastic or aluminium frames. Before papering, remove the old paper, wipe away old paste and let the frame dry fully.
