Small Pinch Teapot - 60ml
Ceramic slip cast teapot made in Tokoname, Japan. It is small and ideal for a single serving. This style of teapot is most often associated with preparing gyokuro (shade cloth grown leaf tea), which is served in small portions. The prepared tea is poured from a front spout, while pinching down on the lid. It can also be used for other purposes, like to serve milk with coffee.

Tokoname is the location of one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, with a ceramics history dating back to the 12th Century. Over the years it has become famous for bonsai and shōchū pots, and also its distinctive teapots, which include red clay teapots as a recognisable item from Tokoname. It is also the largest producer of maneki neko (beckoning cats) in Japan.
