Nanae-fukin means "sevenfold dish cloth" or tea towel, which is made by stitching seven layers of cotton and rayon fabrics together. It has a high water absorption rate and becomes softer with use. It is often used to clean delicate tableware or kitchenware.

This design references the Chōjū-jinbutsu-giga, a set of four picture scrolls depicting anthropomorphized animals in social scenes. The scrolls were completed between the 12th and 13th Centuries and the set is a National Treasure, to be viewed in Tokyo and Kyoto. It has also been referred to as the first manga.

Care Instructions: Wash the cloth before use with hot water to remove starch glue. Do not use with chlorine bleach, or tumble dry. It will become softer over time with use.
