Ume Plum Butter with Vanilla Beans
Ume plums are a staple of many Japanese products, often eaten as preserved plums. Green Ume Plum Purée is made with highest quality plums grown in the Hitoyoshi-Kuma region, Kumamoto Prefecture. This is combined with sweet and fresh Takachiho Butter made with raw milk only produced in Kyushu and vanilla beans from Madagascar. The fragrant balance of natural acid and sweetness makes a perfect butter for use on your toast, or to mix with yoghurt. It can also form the basis of dessert dressings or sauces.

KUMAGAWA ARTISANS is based in the Hitoyoshi Kuma Region in the southern part of Kyushu island. The region is known for the Kumagawa river, surrounded by fertile lands historically used for rice cultivation. There are many hidden artisanal treasures in the region and Kumagawa Artisans was formed to showcase these and introduce them to the world. For this reason the company logo also represents a traditional Japanese wooden boat, which was used to transport both people and goods to other parts of Japan.
