Ceramic Self-Watering Planter
A desktop size planter, which makes use of a specially manufactured porous ceramics rod to absorb water and nourish the plant without intervention. The rod is positioned to sit within the soil and feed from the water reservoir. Just fill the glass bottom with water.
The planter comprises a bottom glass container, on which a white porcelain plant holder is placed, and a porous ceramic stick made from Arita-yaki porcelain.

KYUEMON is a company established in 1965 in Arita, Saga prefecture, one of Japan's most famous ceramic regions. The company started research and development in the ceramic field, including developing porous ceramics, heat heat-resistant materials and soon launched ceramic coffee filters. The current representative, Tsuyoshi Kubota, grew up surrounded by Arita ware from an early age. After graduating from the Department of Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Nagasaki University, he joined Kubota Minoru Ceramics in 1996. In 1998, he became the second representative of Kyuemon and is stearing the company to innovate, while building on the history of Arita ware ceramics.
