HK-3 'Hocho Kobo' Petty Knife
The Tadafusa Hocho Kobo range of household knives combines a contemporary look with the traditional hand-forged knife making techniques of the company. The HK-3 petty knife is a versatile and compact paring knife which can be used for slicing of vegetables, cutting herbs or for finer deboning tasks.
The blade combines SLD steel which provides a sharp cutting edge with a stainless steel coating for the body. The chestnut handle is heat treated in order to prevent shrinkage and to increase bacterial resistance.

Tadafusa is a third generation knife making company based in Sanjō, Niigata Prefecture, a region with a long history of steel work. The Hocho Kobo range is designed by Fumie Shibata, a Japanese industrial designer who has won many awards for her designs.
