Make delicious miso soups and broths with a yukihira nabe and misokoshi. The yukihira saucepan is traditionally a light and convenient kitchen workhorse in Japan. It is used for preparing dashi, making miso soup and also for hot pot dishes, with two spouts for easy pouring.

Made in Tsubame City, the yukihira saucepan is made from 18-8 stainless steel with a wooden handle and features the classic dimpled pattern for heat distribution and durability.

When combined with a misokoshi - a strainer for dissolving miso that hooks over the saucepan rim - the two items become an indispensable set for Japanese style cooking. The miso strainer includes both a fine sieve and slotted spoon for blending the miso. They can also be used for removing dashi packs or other flavouring elements.

The saucepan and miso strainer can be bought separately, or as a set.

Saucepan sizes:

  • KRY-16: 16cm diameter, 1.3L
  • KRY-18: 18cm diameter, 1.7L

The miso strainer is one size only and fits all saucepan sizes.

Note: the model featured in the images is the KRY-16.
