Bamboo Matcha Scoop
Bamboo matcha scoop (茶杓 - chashaku) used for preparing traditional matcha. One to two heaped scoops is enough for a regular thin matcha portion (薄茶 - usucha), or 2 grams. For thick matcha (koicha - 濃茶) this can be doubled or even tripled.
The scoop is thin to easily insert into premium matcha tins and the rounded tip is also used to make matcha powder very fine using a strainer. This type comes with the ridge of the bamboo in the middle of the scoop. It comes packaged in a cardboard box.
