Cherry & Green Tea
Cherry & Green Tea (Sakuraba Sencha) is a blend of sencha (steamed green tea) and natural cherry blossom leaf chips. It has a soft cherry blossom scent which complements the colour and mild flavour of the sencha. You can enjoy drinking a cup of tea as if its a spring breeze and makes for a lovely gift.
The sencha is from Ujitawara in Kyoto prefecture and the cherry leaves are also sourced locally within Kyoto prefecture.

HOW TO PREPARE CHERRY & GREEN TEA:
Since the base tea is sencha, it is prepared like a green tea, with cooled down hot water and a short steeping time.
- Place approximately 3 - 5g of tea in a 250ml teapot or container.
- Pour 200ml+ of hot water (70-80 °C) into the pot. Do not use boiling water.
- Cover the teapot or container and wait for 60 seconds.
- Stir the tea gently and serve until the last drop is poured out.
- Enjoy your healthy cherry & green tea!
You can make a second and third infusion by adding more water, using hotter water and infusing the tea a little longer each time. To make ice tea, let it stand until cool and then refrigerate.
If the cherry and tea leaves are left too long in the water, the tea will become bitter. It is therefore important to empty the teapot of water between infusions.
