Ikebana Workshop | 28 February 2026
Join Belinda Soboil at WAZA Japan Store on Saturday, 28 February 2026 for an Ikebana workshop. Belinda is a registered teacher of the Ohara school of Ikebana. She will give a brief introduction to Ikebana and demonstrate a few classic arrangements. She will then take participants through two beginner arrangements that each person will make and get to take home with them.
- DATE & TIME: Saturday, 28 February 2026 from 10:00 - 13:00
- VENUE: WAZA Japan Store, 201 Bree Street, Cape Town
- COST: R720 per person
What is provided:
- All flower and branch material to make two arrangements per person;
- Notes on Ikebana;
- One kenzan (flower frog) per person;
- Complimentary green tea and snacks by WAZA.
What each participant should bring:
- A low bowl (something with a wide mouth, preferably in ceramic/ brass/ copper, rather than glass. It could be a tea or cereal bowl;
- A tall vase (again, preferably not glass) with a narrow opening;
- A pair of secateurs / flower scissors.
Detailed information on ideal vessels shapes will be communicated to participants in advance. Workshop participants receive 15% discount at WAZA on the day.
